Create an account with Figure Skate Chicago to book lessons with us.
Follow these steps to create an account with Figure Skate Chicago:
1. Head over to our account management portal, hosted by Mindbody.
2. If you have an existing Mindbody account, sign-in with your Mindbody email and password and skip to Step 7. Otherwise, please click on Create account.
3. Enter information for account owner. This person must be an adult in charge of booking and paying for all skaters associated with the account.
4. If you’re registering a child skater, click Add family to enter the child’s name.
5. If you’re registering only yourself as an adult skater, click Create account without family.
6. Verify email address by clicking on message sent to your email.
7. Sign-in to your new account to complete your profile information. Make sure to enable email messages for account management and reminders and schedule changes to receive further instructions on how to book your first skating lesson.
Book Your First Lesson
Your first lesson must be a private evaluation lesson to assess your ice skating skills and prepare a customized instruction plan that meets your skating goals. Lesson cost is $88 plus ice time, scheduled at Fifth Third Arena, McFetridge Sports Center, or Robert Crown Community Center.
After creating your skater account, we recommend downloading the Figure Skate Chicago app (for Apple or Android) to book lessons conveniently.
Follow these steps to book your first lesson on the Figure Skate Chicago app:
- Tap on Book at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on PRIVATE at the top of the screen
- Tap on PRIVATE @ [your preferred ice rink location]
- Tap on 60-min Evaluation Lesson at your selected location
- Tap on a date and time that works for your schedule
- On the appointment screen, tap on Book
- On the Buy Services screen, tap on the pricing option shown
- Add or select a payment method and tap on Buy
IMPORTANT: Make sure to get fitted for a pair of good quality figure skates, preferably at Rainbo Sports, before your first lesson. We cannot emphasize enough that properly fitted skates are essential to prevent injuries and enjoy your first experience on the ice. Avoid purchasing skates online. Good quality skates insure your investment in ice time and coaching fees.
